What are your kids talking about this Sunday? Well, you can always keep track (if you lose your monthly take home sheet) by going to The Journey Kids Blog. I’ll give you a cheat sheet for this Sunday!
The 2s&3s and 4-K Rooms will be talking about:
Basic Truth: Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
Key Question: Who is your friend?
Bottom Line: Jesus is my good friend.
Memory Verse: “A friend loves at all times.” Proverbs 17:17, NIV
Bible Story Focus Week 1: Jesus loves me.
The Last Supper / Resurrection • Matthew 26:20-30
If you peak in you’ll see the kids doing fun games and activities right for their age level. They have a ball in here with awesome volunteers who “get down” with the kids on their monthly song, snack on stuff while they review the Bible story and do fun games that all point right back to the main idea and verse for the month.
Our 1st-5th Graders are talking about:
Face to Face
Virtue: Friendship—spending time with someone you trust and enjoy.
Memory Verse: “A friend loves at all times. He is there to help when trouble comes.” Proverbs 17:17, NIrV
Week 1: Face to Face (on the road to Emmaus) • Luke 24:13-35
The Bible Story is shown in an awesome video format. Our leaders in there “bring home” the main point every week in a fun, interactive way. There are games, small group discussions, and fun challenges that all work together to bring the main point home. I know that there’s sugar going home this Sunday as well as an Easter Surprise
Thinking about visiting? Journey Kids is here for your kids 3months – 5th grade! Every week it’s our desire that your child will have a blast, connect with other kids, connect with a leader and most importantly learn and see how God loves them, made them, and wants to be their forever friend.
We have a computerized check-in process that takes just a few minutes the first week you visit, but after that it takes just seconds. Head to the Journey Kids Check-In / Registration Desk and we’ll get you right on your way. We have “express lanes” for those that have already registered. You’ll receive 2 sticker labels – 1 for your child and 1 for the parent. These labels are matched up at the end of the service so every parent gets the right kid.
