2 weeks already!?

Micah is 2 weeks old already.  I can’t believe it!  It’s so funny how slow time ticks by when you’re waiting for baby to come and then ZOOM it just flies by.  Well, I thought I’d give you a few personal updates on our family.

Eliana is sleeping in her big girl bed like a champ.  She loves her baby brother (and is still having a few meltdowns throughout the day- to be expected).

Micah is one sleepy newborn.  He is so calm and chilled.  A needed personality to join our family that can run on overdrive.   He loves to be outside (just like sister).

Dad is still in rehab twice a week after knee surgery over a month ago.  He’s got a long recovery, but we’re grateful that it was able to be fixed.  (& now I know that he wasn’t being a wimp 😉 just trying to get out of changing diapers doing dishes with a family of four.)  Joking of course.

Mom is hanging in there.  Back on caffeine and grateful for all of the meals that were brought to us.  With Paul ‘out of commission’ they were much appreciated.  (Although Paul now has tasted what real dinners should be like, so hopefully he’s not disappointed when things go ‘back to normal’)  =)  With nap times I’m attempting to sew a pair of pants for Eliana’s birthday.  It’s been 2 weeks and I haven’t even finished cutting out the fabric.  We’ll see.

Thank you for all of your prayers.  If you’re a Journeyer, isn’t the 5pm service exciting!  It’s coming up soon and I’m bummed that I’m missing some of the exciting things to prepare for it.  Hope your last few weeks of summer are enjoyable!
