Letting Go

GS

Right now Paul is outside as we’re dumping stuff in a garage sale. We can both be pack rats, so this was a huge step for us! We’re letting go of things that we held onto so tightly. (Well, I still do have stuffed animals & baby blankets.)
It’s funny how we put so much value on things that we can’t let them go. Things that will break and rust.  Things that could get stolen!  Hmmm…. sound familiar, doesn’t it!

Here’s the verse that God’s been challenging me with!

Matthew 6:19 (The Message)

19-21″Don’t hoard treasure down here where it gets eaten by moths and corroded by rust or—worse!—stolen by burglars. Stockpile treasure in heaven, where it’s safe from moth and rust and burglars. It’s obvious, isn’t it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being.

Ironic, huh!
